Family First!

As a teacher, nurturer, parent, and leader in the community it is vital that I express to you the importance of family, social, and school involvement with the children in and out of the classroom. There are strong links done through studies that show that a loving, nurturing, happy, stable environment help in a child's development and education.

I believe that in order to be the most successful in my job, it is also important that you continue to provide support for your child's learning through active involvement with them and in the classroom. There are many findings that children not only grow and learn through the basic curriculum in a classroom but by being involved and accepted with their peers and others in the school system. There are many things that are influential to the well being, physically and mentally, to a child's life.

As a teacher, I am here to support, guide, and provide a safe, nurturing environment for the students in my classroom at ALL times. I ask as parents, that we may work together to reach any goals set before the child while they are in my classroom. Parents know their children/child the best, so if there is anything at all that would help me and the student while working together, I invite you to contact me to share your thoughts with me. I have an "open-door policy" and encourage the communication to benefit everyone involved.

There is no "I" in team.

Below I have some resources that may interest you to read further about the benefits of working with and for children and the different methods in which we can help them grow.
